S.E.A Aquarium

'Enter and explore the marine realm of S.E.A. Aquarium, home to more than 100,000 marine animals of over 1,000 species, across 50 different habitats, each one as fascinating as the next. It's a marine life experience you won’t forget.’ Pico Play were engaged as the design and build contractor for all marine environment at S.E.A. Aquarium, which was constructed in the basement level of Resorts World Sentosa below the Adventure Cove Waterpark.  This unique spatial planning allowed for the marine environments to be viewed from several levels and Pico Play also delivered the marine environment for the water park that are connected to the Aquarium such as the Dolphin Pool, Ray Pools and artificial swimming reef, where Guests can swim alongside tropical reef fish.

The construction materials and methods used by Pico Play in the creation of the marine environments is high specialized and different to traditional theming methods. Pico Play’s art direction and construction supervision team have vast experience in creating marine environment that can stand the test of time with proven materials for themed elements such as artificial rockwork, plastic corals and underwater props. Design was conducted in our Kuala Lumpur design office, where the environment design was integrated with facility structure, acrylic viewing panels and life support systems.  Some elements were then pre-fabricated off-site in our Johor Production Facility to minimize on-site installation time.
